• Employee Assistance Program (EAP)POSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARYKKCS seeks an experienced full-time Senior Scheduler for a Hybrid position in Pomona, CA (3 times a week at the project site & 2 days remote). The Senior Scheduler reports to the Project Control Manager and directly supports the Project Management Team with P6 scheduling activities and contractor/stakeholder coordination on transit-related capital projects. The successful candidate will have proven scheduling experience on rail and transit projects of varying size and complexity, including multi-phase, multi-million-dollar construction, and renovation projects.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Develops and maintains detailed construction planning schedules for new construction and renovation work.
  • Develops and analyzes labor and equipment resources and cost-load the time-phased schedules.
  • Prepares detailed plans, time-scaled charts, and diagrams.
  • Monitors project progress against an established baseline.
  • Provides time impact analysis of schedule changes, identifies schedule variances and opportunities, and proactively develops mitigation strategies for the Project Management Team.
  • Maintains simplified logic schedules to highlight status of key interfaces for critical path review.
  • Reviews contractor-submitted schedules and provides written comments, coordinates schedule comments, and corrections with contractors.
  • Provides progress reporting documents and briefing materials as required.
  • Develops creative reporting tools to communicate complex project sequencing and/or progress assessments.
  • Promptly reports schedule variances with recommendations for corrective actions.When duties and responsibilities change and develop, the job description will be reviewed and subject to changes of business necessity.QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLSRequired Education & Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field
    • At least 10 years of project scheduling experience in heavy civil or multiple projects
    • Demonstrated experience scheduling the design and construction of large-scale, complex projects, including developing and managing a progress reporting methodology for a complicated design effort
    • Self-starter with results-driven focus and ability to work with others
    • Effective oral and written communication skills
    • Demonstrated ability to understand a demanding, technical, and complicated design and/or construction program plus the ability to communicate progress and issues to technical and management-level personnel
    • Demonstrated experience with Primavera Project Planner version 12.0 or higher
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
    • Proven accuracy, reliability, and completeness in job accomplishment
