possible.Responsibilities and role description:This is a technical
management position to be part of the Testing & Commissioning team
in a major D&B Transit contract, and to eventually perform and
support other Systems Engineering activities for other rail and
transit projects and proposals in the US.This position will
integrate into the SENER Systems Engineering team.The specific
responsibilities for the candidate's first assignment, for a major
D&B Transit Contract include, but are not limited to:
- Lead the testing and commissioning activities for the D&B
project, ensuring all systems are integrated and functioning as per
design specifications.
- Develop and implement testing and commissioning plans,
procedures, and schedules.
- Coordinate with design, construction, and project management
teams to ensure seamless integration of all rail systems.
- Conduct site inspections and oversee the installation, testing,
and commissioning of rail systems.
- Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies during the
testing and commissioning phases.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and
project requirements.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation for all testing and
commissioning activities.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the project team and
stakeholders.
- Consult with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies as
required. Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering,
Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the rail industry, with a
focus on testing and commissioning
- In-depth knowledge of Train Control Systems, Communications,
Traction Power, Overhead Catenary Systems (OCS)
- Proven experience in leading testing and commissioning
activities for large-scale rail projects
- Strong understanding of safety standards and regulatory
requirements in the rail industry
- Must be based in the United States
- Excellent critical thinking skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage
multiple tasks simultaneously
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification

position requires to be based at the project office in Riverdale,
Maryland, as the position implies regular in person meetings and
field visits to the worksite. The support of other future projects
or proposals may require travelling within US. Partial
remote/hybrid work could be discussed, depending on the project
needs. We would prefer local candidates to Maryland but would
consider relocation (within the US) for other candidates living in
other U.S. states.Salary range: $140k- 180k, depending on the
candidate's qualifications and experience.
